Hey Teachers,

April is Poetry month.
Here is a great video by Janet Wong explaining how to make poetry exciting for our students!
The rhyme and rhythm in some poems is great for helping young readers learn fluency in reading, so get those kids to the library to check out some great poetry books!

Cackleberry Library gets a special visitor!
Cat and the Hat came to Cackleberry Library and made mischief of many kinds by reading several books written by Dr. Seuss.  The students had a great time listening and getting their pictures taken with the CAT!

Therapy Reading Dogs

Therapy Reading Dogs
February 27, 2013
Therapy Reading dogs visited Cackleberry Library last week.  The animals make a huge difference in childrens' reading ability.  Students who are normally reluctant readers will sit for hours with a dog and read all day.  The dogs are there to boost confidence in reading and help the students feel loved.
